The jitters...

Coffee...

I usually don't drink to much coffee unless I absolutely have to have a cup to stay awake.

I had 6 cups today.

I feel weird.

I started an exercise class with a friend of mine on Monday that will run 3 days a week from 5:15am-6:05am for 4 months.

I have woken up at 7am for the past year.  Can you imagine what I am feeling right now?

It's not hard for me to get up early-it's the late afternoon when my tiredness hits me like a brick wall.

I actually really like the class alot-just need to get used to this new schedule.

And coffee was my antidote.

For the record-it just makes you feel weird...I'm still tired!

Won't be drinking this much EVER again-geesh!

*Yawn*---off to cheerleading practice!

Have a good (rainy) day!

Last night was the 2011 Husky Scrimmage-here are some shots of the event...
Andy is number 54-two of my other brothers, Kevin and Scott, were both lineman their senior years and were both number 54-it is a tradition for the Glaser boys to have this number! :)

Jacob got to carry the ball a lot last night!  He is number 24!

A few notes...

Prepare yourselves for a very random post...

Ready...
Ok.

--Have you ever had a bee fly into your car?

It happened to me today!  I freaked!  The litle thing buzzed right in through my half open window as I was stopped at a stop sign.  My arms shot up to my face as it tried to get out of my car...luckily it went to the passenger side window and waited for me to open it.  And of course, my passenger side window is very picky and sometimes doesn't work.  BUT IT WORKED!
I have noticed more bugs these past few days than I can count!  Spiders, flies, ants, and now bees! Yikes!  I am NOT a bug person...

--Cheerleading camp is this weekend! :)  That means lots of new things to learn.  I'm excited to see how my new girls pick up on stuff from the instructors!

--I got my nails done on Wednesday!  They look pretty, but they sure are a pain to type on the computer with!

--Nashua's city wide garage sales have been going on today and will continue through the weekend.  Luckily, I don't carry cash on me...ever...or I would be stopping at every single one!  I know that I don't need anything, so I am avoiding them at all costs...i always come home with things that "sit in the basement" as Jason says...so, here's to new beginnings! :)  Let's see how long this lasts!

--Have a great weekend everyone! :)

Relay for LIFE-2011 Chickasaw County

This past Friday, the N-P Cheerleaders participated in the Relay for Life held in New Hampton IA.  What a great event that was organized and for such a great cause.  My aunt, Angela, was the Honorary Survivor.  She was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and since then has underwent a stem cell transplant and her cancer is now in remission.  It was very speical to see her up there with all of her family surrounded by her.

The N-P Cheerleaders teamed up with The New Hampton Cheer squad to do Relay for Life, our teams name was Cheer for a Cure.  The girls perfomed a quick cheer and stunt.  They did great!

And here they are leading the suvivor lap...

Quick photo on the Wooden Wonderland!

Face painting to donate all proceeds to Relay for Life..

Meeting new friends with cats that don't wear shoes!

The Luminaries were beautiful at night!  The whole evening was a reminder to always think how quickly your life can change if you or someone you love is diagnosed with cancer.  It is a blessing to have a community that can come together to raise money for a great cause!

30 Day Challenge...Day 21.

Day 21-Talk about where you went to high school.

Ahhh...high school.  I graduated from Nashua-Plainfield High School in 2006...yep haven't even had our 5 year reunion yet!  I enjoyed cheering for the Huskies and made lots of memories.  School came pretty easy for me.  I have always loved to learn...everything except math/algebra/statistics!  ha!

I'll never forget camping out at Boat Park and burning all of our school notebooks on the last day!  I will also never forget when my brother, Kevin, took a goat to the school and let it run the halls!! He was lucky to have graduated after that little prank!  <--- Hmm...both of those things don't really exemplify our school as good as it really was.  Trust me....we learned stuff too!!

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would end up back here in Nashua.  But here I am!  I also never thought I would be coaching cheerleading either!  But here I am again...and next year, I am going to be head coach!  Yikes!  Yep, the current head coach is resigning after this year...she was my coach my senior year and has put in some great years.  It will be very hard to fill her shoes...but I am up for the challenge.  Here's to new beginnings!

I am actually really excited to have my future children (sorry none anytime soon!) attend school at N-P.  I grew up in a community where everyone knew each other...and have found that sometimes that is a good thing, other times not so much...but for the most part...it's all good! : )  Life is good!

Day 21 quote-a quote you would want inscribed on your wedding ring.

Forever, For Always, No Matter What.

Looking back...

Looking back...I NEVER thought I would have a sister...never...then Greta changed that!
Looking back...I didn't really like living on a farm...I always wanted to live in town...now I would love to live out in the country...

Looking back...I never realized how talented my little brothers really truly were...yes, that is a 3 person shoulder sit.
Looking back...I never throught that my little brother woud have a better toe touch than me!
Looking back...I knew he was the one...from the first time I met him...I honestly can't explain how it worked...it just did!

I love looking back...life was good then...and it's really good now!

Enjoy your day!

A sad story...

Read this...
Cheerleaders cry foul

The squad went before the school board tonight and they refused to overturn the decision...

I've seen these girls perform...they were phenomenal...

It is frustrating to see and hear about an AMAZING cheerleading squad have their biggest goal crushed and their is nothing they can do about it.

It may seem trivial to some of the readers out there...but until you know all of the hard work that these girls put in, you just don't really have any idea.

Christmastime is here...

do you have all your cards sent?

are the presents wrapped and under the tree?

is the baking done and ready to be eaten?

is the tree trimmed?

is the sidewalk shoveled?

is the wreath hung on the door?

are you ready for this?

or, have you maybe forgot the true meaning of Christmas?

Sometimes, it's ok to forget about all those things I mentioned above, the cards, presents, tree, and shoveling.  Think about this Christmas and those who mean so very much to you.  Material things should not have a hold of your heart...that iPod you have been hoping for, or that pair of earrings you have been hinting about are things that will be forgotten much faster than the memories you have made with the people you love. Think about all God has blessed you with.  Where would we be if God hadn't sent his son to Earth?  When you think about it that way, presents don't really make sense anymore do they?
If you still are not really getting what I mean, check out this video, Linus has a clear meaning of what the season means...

After being so very busy these past few weeks with work, cheerleading, Jason with school, wrestling meets and basketball games, and teaching religion, I can hardly wait for tomorrow.  Why?  I have nothing planned that I need to be at.  I have the entire evening to be with the one person who understands me better than anyone in the world.  Who wouldn't want that for Christmas?

Oh, Christmas Tree....

I had an incredibly busy weekend...here's everything that I did!
Went to Andy's wrestling meet in Elgin on Saturday, he got 2nd place.  The guy that got first is ranked 2nd in the 1A division, and he placed at state last year...

The team came out on top with a win though!!

My lovely cheerleaders...

I took 2 All-State girls down to practice thier cheer routine in Des Moines on Sunday, then came home and helped Jason set up the Christmas tree!

Pretty, Pretty!

Bad picture (my camera hated the lighting), but we have silvery glittery glass bulbs hanging from our tree.

Another bad picture, but you can already see here that the cats have decided this is thier tree now.  Trixie already climbed it a few times last night!  Oh well... : )  It sure is beginning to feel a lot more like Christmas!

Thanksgiving

I am thankful for....
  • Jason...he makes me squirt milk out of my nose because he is so dang funny...who wouldn't want to spend their life with their best friend?
  • My mom and dad...they are always there...always...I am blessed to have them as parents.  I love you mom and dad!
  • My siblings...because they bring the best out of me! : )
  • My Mother and Father-in Law...they shared their son with me and welcomed me into the family with open arms.  Thank you for all you have done for us this year, Dick and Kathy.
  • All of the in-law siblings and neice and nephew...Andy, Holly, Bridget, Adam, Justin, Danna, Titus, Cici, I LOVE spending time with all of you as often as I can!  You all mean so much to me, words can't express how blessed I feel when I get to see you guys!! : )
  • Working at a job that I love...
  • Being a coach to a great group of girls who love what they do...and coaching with Kristi who is as driven and passioniate about cheerleading as I am.
  • Where I am today...I am happy, blessed, and thankful....life is better than ever.  I often ask myself how I got so lucky...how the puzzle called life fell into just the right spots to make me so happy.  I couldn't ask to have anything more than that.
