Heart and Soul Cafe-Andy serving

Andy is taking a class this semester called Food and Wellness.  When you are in this class you prepare, serve, and set up a restaurant right in the school for family and the community.  When it was Andy's turn to serve, we got to eat!

My Grandma Zeien and her sister Monica came to eat with us too!

Andy did a great job and the food was delicious!!

Des Moines Marathon

Jason ran the Des Moines Marathon in October.  This was his first time running a marathon and he was happy with his finish time.  He ran 26.2 miles in 3 hours and 35 minutes!  Way to go Jason! :)

Justin made this video for Jason!  So cool!

Scott-Singing T-Swift

He will be so mad that I posted this....but I don't really care!  Enjoy!  Hope it makes you laugh!!

Puppies!

There are still 3 puppies left at my mom and dad's house!  Any takers?

Cutest. Puppies. EVER.

Homecoming 2011

Somehow...someway...my brother Andy got on the 2011 Nashua-Plainfield Homecoming court!  hah!  He didn't win the crown, but that is just fine.  It was nice to see him dressed up for once too!

Here is the homecoming queen-the one that is flying in the air-yes, she is one of my cheerleaders!! :)

There is Andy, #54, playing his last Homecoming football game!  They won! :)

Blogging on the backburner...

Hello blog readers!

I apologize for the lack of posts...the end of last month pretty much ran together.  I have many things to blog about-just not a single second to get them on here!

So as a filler, I thought I would show you a few things that I can't get out of my head lately...some are funny, others are wants, some are just plain weird.

Hedgehogs.  They are adorable.

These boots. They are Uggs.  Comfy, warm, nice.  I have a pair of brown ones, and if I could get away with wearing them every day I would.  I watch Ebay for them constantly.  My size is 9 if you are feeling generous!

Bring It On:  The Musical--Pretty much the most awesome musical ever.  And I WILL see it when it comes to Des Moines!  Jason has already been informed that this is at the top of my birthday/Christmas list!

Kindle Fire:  MAJOR WANT.  I know that I don't NEED it at all--but it is soooo cool!
Box Elder Bug:  I do NOT like these bugs.  Nope.  Not at all.

Fall/Autumn:  It's just a good time of year right now... I like it.

This quote:  I have been DREAMING about the ocean.  I need to go there...soon.

Newest favorite website: myfitnesspal.com  Calorie counter, exercise tracker, all in one.  Best thing I have been introduced to in a LONG time.  Thanks Bridget! :-)

That's all for now-I will be back with my more normal family, cheerleading, life posts...as soon as my own life slows down!

Hy-Vee Triathlon and meeting Baby Claire!

This past weekend, Jason and I headed down to Des Moines for him to participate in the Hy-Vee Triathlon!  This is a very popular traithlon for the "Pros" who come from all over the world to race.  The prize for the top male and female finisher is $150,000!  Jason is not considered a "pro"--he is just an age group amateur, but finished the race 16 out of 57 in his age group!
Here he is after swimming...running to his bike!

Running after getting off his bike...just a quick 6 miles...no big deal!

GO Jason!

The Hy-Vee Finish line!  It's pretty fancy!

So proud!  And look at that great backdrop!  Iowa is the place to be!

The Herrick girls! I love my sister-in-laws and my mother-in-law!

Titus and Dick pose for a funny picture!

We got to meet Claire, my cousin Sabrina's baby this weekend too!  Baby Claire has LOTS of hair...I love her so much!

She was a little squirmer, but a cuddler too!
